What is the PromptInk AI Shopify App?
The PromptInk AI Shopify App is an AI-powered merchandise design application that integrates directly with your Shopify store. It allows you and your customers to generate custom designs by simply describing what they want in natural language.
How does the app work?
Simply describe the design you want using text prompts, optionally upload a reference image or select any of our preset AI helper styles and the AI technology generates professional-quality artwork. The selected artwork gets upscaled optimally for print on demand products before being sent to fulfillment partner Printful. You can then add these designs to products in your store or allow customers to create custom designs, select their product and checkout immeadiatly. Shopify will process your order seamlessly and the order gets sent to Printful to print and ship the product to your customer. No inventory or shipping and handling is required by you.
What types of designs can the AI create?
Our AI can generate a wide variety of designs including graphics, text-based designs, illustrations, patterns, and artistic compositions suitable for print-on-demand merchandise.
Installation and Setup
How do I install the PromptInk AI app?
Install the app directly from the Shopify App Store. After installation, follow the setup wizard to configure your preferences and connect any required services.
Do I need technical knowledge to use this app?
No technical knowledge is required. The app is designed with user-friendly interfaces that make AI design generation accessible to all Shopify merchants. We specifically designed our app to be simple, intuitive and fast, it is not a photoshop light product customizer app.
How long does setup take?
Initial setup typically takes 3-5 minutes. You can start generating designs immediately after installation.
Pricing and Billing
How much does the app cost?
Pricing information is available in the Shopify App Store listing and within the app dashboard. Billing is handled through your Shopify account.
Can I try the app before purchasing?
Yes, we offer a free trial period so you can test the app’s features before committing to a subscription.
How is billing handled?
All billing is processed through Shopify’s secure billing system and appears on your regular Shopify invoice.
Design Generation and Usage
Who owns the designs created by the AI?
You own the commercial rights to designs generated through your account, subject to our Terms of Service.
Can customers create their own designs in my store?
Yes, you can enable customer design creation, allowing shoppers to generate custom designs during their shopping experience.
Are there any restrictions on design content?
Yes, designs must comply with our content policy, which prohibits illegal, offensive, or copyrighted material. Our AI includes built-in content filters.
How long does it take to generate a design?
Most designs are generated within 30-60 seconds, depending on complexity, how many variations you are generating and current system load.
Integration and Fulfillment
Does the app work with print-on-demand services?
Yes, the app integrates seamlessly with Printful for automated order fulfillment, eliminating inventory management and shipping tasks. Paid plans can download generated designs for manual fulfillment or production purposes. Future updates will integrate additional fulfillment partners based on customer demand.
Can I use other fulfillment services?
While optimized for Printful integration, designs can be downloaded and used with other fulfillment providers manually on paid plans.
What product types are supported?
The app supports all standard print-on-demand products including t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, phone cases, posters, and more.
